Meridian has grown very quickly from a suburban town to a city in its own right. Named by multiple national organizations as The Best Place to Live, Meridian’s prosperity has increased further. This growth was fueled by a massive increase in new home construction to accommodate the large number of people moving here. Starter homes, mid-range homes, luxury custom-built homes, and 55+ communities span the city, allowing all price points to live here. School-age kids living in Meridian will attend schools in the West Ada School District. This is Idaho’s largest school district in terms of student population, number of schools, and land area. West Ada contains many of Idaho’s highest-rated public schools.
There is so much to do in Meridian! Two of the best-known attractions are Wahooz Family Fun Zone and Roaring Springs Water Park. Sitting next to each other, they allow for plenty of family fun. The Village at Meridian is a shopping, dining and entertainment center on Eagle Road. There are 50 places to shop and grab a bite to eat, as well as a movie theater, family arcade, and an ice skating rink in the winter. Meridian also features the only Krispy Kreme donut shop in Idaho. Eagle Road stretches from Kuna in the south to Eagle at its northern tip and has a wide variety of shipping and dining options, as well as the entrances to dozens of new subdivisions.
Meridian is crisscrossed by arterial roads that can take you anywhere in the Treasure Valley with ease. In addition, Meridian is bisected by Interstate-84, which makes commuting to Boise or Nampa easier.
Meridian is broken down into four MLS areas: Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast. Meridian Road serves and the north-south boundary, and I-84 serves as the east-west boundary. Luckily, no matter where you live in Meridian, you are never far from anything you want to do.
